Movers in Apache Junction, Arizona

This is home. Garcia Movers has been an Apache Junction family business since 2004. When you book a move here you are not paying for a crew to drive out from the other side of the Valley.

The hometown advantage is mostly about time

Being local sounds like a slogan until you are waiting on a crew. We are not driving in from the far side of the Valley, so a morning job in Apache Junction starts when we say it will, and a move that runs long does not turn into a race to get a truck home.

It also means we know the roads. The stretch along Apache Trail, the older streets east of Idaho Road, the gated entrances out toward Gold Canyon: none of that is a surprise to us on moving day.

Park models, manufactured homes and 55+ communities

Apache Junction has a large share of park models, manufactured homes and age-restricted communities, and moving in and out of them is its own skill. Narrow interior doors, Arizona rooms added on later, carports instead of garages, and community rules about which gate a truck can use and when.

Many of these communities want notice before a moving truck comes through, and some restrict hours. Tell us the community when you call and we will sort that out ahead of the day rather than at the gate.

Snowbird season, and moving on a seasonal schedule

A lot of moves here run on the winter-visitor calendar: arriving in the fall, closing up in the spring, or deciding to stay for good and bringing the rest of the household out. Those moves often involve storage decisions, partial loads and timing that depends on someone else's travel.

From November through March we are at our busiest, so book earlier than you think you need to. If your dates are still soft, call anyway and we will tell you honestly what is filling up.

Downsizing and senior moves close to home

A good share of our Apache Junction work is helping someone move into a smaller place, into a community, or closer to family. Those moves are about patience more than speed, and often about coordinating with adult children who live out of state.

We work at the pace the day needs. See our senior moving page for how we handle these.

What it costs

We quote each move rather than publishing a rate, because the real number depends on the distance, how much there is, access at both ends, and whether you want packing. A price given before anyone asks those questions is a price that changes on moving day.

Tell us the route and the size of the move and we will call you back with a fair, upfront number. Quotes are free and carry no obligation.

Apache Junction questions

Moving in Apache Junction, answered.

Straight answers on quotes, coverage, packing, and timing. Still have a question? Call 480-206-2757 and we will help.

Are you actually based in Apache Junction?

Yes. Garcia Movers has been an Apache Junction family business since 2004. Many of the companies advertising for Apache Junction moves are working out of somewhere else in the Valley.

Do you move park models and manufactured homes?

We move the contents of them, and we do it often. Narrow doorways, Arizona rooms and carport access are all normal for us. We do not relocate the structure itself; that is a different trade.

Can you work with my 55+ community's rules?

Yes. Many communities around Apache Junction want advance notice for a moving truck, restrict which gate you use, or limit the hours. Give us the community name when you request a quote and we will arrange it before moving day.

Do you move out to Gold Canyon?

Yes. Gold Canyon is right next door and we are out there regularly, along with the rest of the East Valley.

When is the busiest time to move here?

November through March, because of winter visitors, plus the usual end-of-month and weekend crunch year round. If you are moving in that window, call as far ahead as you can.

Do you help with seasonal or partial moves?

Yes. Not every job is a whole household. If you are closing up for the season, moving part of a home, or bringing the rest of your things out from another state's storage, tell us what you have and we will quote that.
