Movers in Gilbert, Arizona

Gilbert is mostly newer homes in planned communities, which sounds easy and usually is not. Two stories, long entries, gated access and an HOA with opinions about moving trucks. We have been doing these moves since 2004 and we plan for all of it before the truck rolls.

Two-story homes are a different job

Much of Gilbert's housing is two-story, and stairs change a move more than people expect. A king bed, a sectional or a heavy dresser coming down a turn in a staircase is where furniture gets damaged and where walls get scuffed.

We lay blankets on the stairs, pad the corners, and take apart what should come apart rather than forcing it around a landing. Reassembly at the other end is part of the job, not an upsell.

HOAs, gate codes and move-in windows

Gilbert has a high concentration of managed and gated communities, and most have something to say about moving day: a gate code or guard list the truck has to be on, approved hours, sometimes a deposit or a certificate of insurance filed with the association first.

Being licensed and insured is what lets us clear that paperwork. Give us the community name when you ask for a quote and we will handle it in advance, instead of a crew sitting at a gate on the clock.

Moving within Gilbert, or one town over

A lot of Gilbert moves are short: across the neighborhood, or over to Chandler, Mesa, Queen Creek or Tempe. Short does not mean quick. A local move still means every item gets wrapped, carried, loaded and placed, and the packing stage is the part people underestimate.

If you want it done in one day, the honest answer is usually to let us pack the day before. If you would rather pack yourself and just need the crew and the truck, that is a normal job for us too.

Moving with kids in the house

Gilbert skews toward young families, and moving day with small children is its own problem. The practical advice: pick one room we load last and unload first, put the essentials box in it, and keep the kids and the dog out of the path between the door and the truck.

Tell us if that is your situation and we will work around it rather than through it.

What it costs

We do not publish a rate. Distance, home size, stairs, access and whether you want packing all move the number, and quoting before asking those questions produces a price that changes on the day.

Give us the route and the size of the move and we will call back with an upfront figure. Free, and no obligation.

Gilbert questions

Moving in Gilbert, answered.

Straight answers on quotes, coverage, packing, and timing. Still have a question? Call 480-206-2757 and we will help.

Can you handle a two-story house in Gilbert?

Yes, and it is most of what Gilbert is. We protect the stairs with blankets, pad the corners, and disassemble furniture that should not be forced around a landing, then put it back together upstairs at the new place.

My HOA needs a certificate of insurance. Can you provide one?

Yes. Garcia Movers is licensed and insured, and many Gilbert communities want a certificate on file before moving day. Tell us the community when you request your quote and we will take care of it ahead of time.

Do you need the gate code in advance?

It helps a great deal. If your community uses a gate code, a guard list or a visitor pass, pass that along when we confirm the job so the truck is not held at the entrance while the clock runs.

How long does a move within Gilbert take?

A two or three bedroom home, already packed, is commonly most of a day once you count wrapping, loading, the drive and placing everything. If we are packing for you as well, plan on more time or an extra day. We will give you a realistic window when we quote.

Do you move to and from the other East Valley towns?

Constantly. Gilbert to Chandler, Mesa, Queen Creek, Tempe, Apache Junction and Phoenix are among our most common routes, in both directions.

Can you move us on a weekend?

We do weekend moves, and they book out first, along with the end of the month. Call 480-206-2757 as early as you can and we will tell you straight what is still available.
