Packing and unpacking services

Packing is the part of a move people underestimate. The furniture takes a day; the boxes take weeks of evenings. We can take all of it off your hands, or just the rooms you dread, and put things away at the other end so you are not living out of cartons in October.

Full packing, partial packing, or just the hard rooms

Full packing means you leave the house as it is and we box everything that is not furniture: closets, cabinets, the garage shelves, the drawer nobody has opened since the last move.

Partial packing is more common than people expect. The usual picks are the kitchen, because it is the slowest room and the most breakable, and anything fragile or awkward: framed art, mirrors, lamps, a china cabinet. You pack the books and clothes; we pack the things that take skill. Tell us which rooms when you ask for a quote and the price reflects that, not the whole house.

How a room gets packed

Heavy things go in small boxes and light things in large ones, so no carton is too heavy to carry safely or so light it gets crushed under the stack. Dishes are wrapped one at a time and stood on edge, which is how plates survive a truck. Glassware gets dividers or its own paper, never loose newspaper.

Every box is labeled with the room it goes to at the new place, not the room it came from. That one habit is the difference between an unload that ends with boxes in the right rooms and one that ends with a garage full of mysteries.

Unpacking, so the move actually ends

Unpacking is the half of the job most movers skip. We can empty the boxes, put the kitchen into the cabinets you choose, and make up the beds. If you want the empty cartons and paper gone rather than flattened in your garage, say so when you book and we will sort out what happens to them.

Some people only want the kitchen and bedrooms done on the first day and prefer to arrange the rest themselves. That is fine too. Tell us how far you want us to go.

What to keep with you

Some things should never go on the truck, packed by us or anyone: medication, passports and birth certificates, closing documents, jewelry, cash, laptops and phone chargers, and whatever you need for the first night. Set them aside in one bag before we arrive and tell the crew it is off-limits.

Pets, plants on a long drive, and anything flammable stay off the truck as well. If you are unsure about an item, ask when you call and we will give you a straight answer.

What packing costs

Packing is priced by how much there is to pack, not by a flat add-on, so a partial pack costs less than a full one and a small apartment costs less than a four-bedroom house. Materials are part of the conversation when we quote.

Tell us the size of the home, which rooms you want packed, and whether you want unpacking at the other end, and we will call you back with an upfront number. Quotes are free and carry no obligation.

Common questions

Packing and unpacking services, answered.

Straight answers on quotes, coverage, packing, and timing. Still have a question? Call 480-206-2757 and we will help.

Can you pack only part of the house?

Yes. Many customers have us pack just the kitchen, the fragile pieces, or the garage, and pack the easy rooms themselves. Tell us which rooms when you request a quote and we will price exactly that.

Do you bring the boxes and packing materials?

Ask us when you request a quote. Materials depend on how much we are packing, and if you have already collected boxes of your own, tell us and we will work out what you still need.

Will you unpack and put things away at the new home?

Yes. We can unpack as much or as little as you want, from just the kitchen and beds on day one to the whole house. If you want the empty boxes and paper cleared away too, mention it when you book.

How do you label the boxes?

By the room each box is going to at the new place, so the crew can set it down in the right room on the way in. If you have a room plan for the new house, share it with us before moving day.

What should I pack myself even if you pack everything else?

Anything you would be in trouble without: medication, identity and closing documents, jewelry, laptops and chargers, and an overnight bag. Keep those with you in the car rather than on the truck.
